Job Profile SummaryTo support the development and execution of regional sourcing strategies for third party suppliers.Category management and commercial relationship management of Third Party suppliers to meet the needs of the business, give competitive advantage and secure supply.Key AccountabilitiesCategory Management & SourcingDevelop regional category sourcing strategies and plans aligned to the needs of the business, identifying opportunities to create business value / competitive advantage and mitigate risk in a compliant manner. Deliver these strategies through a variety of ways including e-sourcing tenders.Drive simplification and standardization within the portfolio and processes, including rationalization of Third Party suppliers.Ensure all category sourcing arrangements are fully compliant to all corporate social, environmental, financial, risk, E&C and HSSE policies and standards and that all sourcing is performed in line with defined Delegations of Authority. As part of this, maintaining an effective audit trail during the entire sourcing process. Support delivery of the contract’s compliance agenda. Support Third Party strategy adopting the Third Party Playbook framework and enabling Make vs Buy decisions.Supplier Performance Develop jointly agreed performance measurement criteria / frameworks with suppliers in order to continuously monitor and improve supplier performance, ensuring these are embedded with contracts.Perform / co-ordinate / support supplier performance management activities, including the collation of performance data, support for supplier performance reviews and driving continuous improvements / performance improvements as required with other business stakeholders.Relationship ManagementBuild and support strategic and individual supplier relationship management.Build and maintain good regional market / supplier knowledge.Develop, implement, and execute Third Party toll manufacturing, Purchased Finished goods and re billing strategy across supply chain.Business Relationship ManagementIntegrate ways of working with planning and Customer Fulfilment team to enable an end-to-end supply chain solution.Deal with escalated sourcing matters promptly and effectively.Operate at all times in a manner that maintains client satisfaction with the function.Key ChallengesManaging multiple suppliers across the region covering a wide range of specialized products / services.Managing existing supply side dependencies (e.g. sole source situations).Ability to proactively manage multiple procurement projects at any given time.Job AdvertJob Holder Requirements (Minimum education, experience & capabilities)Education: A Degree or equivalent in a related discipline (desirable but not essential).Experience:Experience of procurement sourcing and contracting.Experience of managing a complex supplier portfolio is desirable.Skills & Competencies:Highly competent negotiation skills and contract managementProven supplier relationship management.The ability to form good relationships with people at all levels and from a variety of backgrounds.The ability to network and operate effectively within a matrix structure.MS office suite and high level of numeracy.Advocate for change and driver of simplification.Demonstrate core values of bp.Experience in using sourcing methodologies and tools including e-sourcing is desirable.English – oral and written.
